An interest-bearing current account
Sumeria is currently one of the few players in France to offer an interest-bearing current account.
The money deposited in the current account (as in all other Sumeria payment accounts) earns interest at a gross annual rate of 4%* and the interest is paid directly into the current account each month, after calculation.
A fully secure current account
The funds are protected, as required by regulations, in a banking account opened with BNP Paribas.
These funds are covered by a deposit guarantee of €100,000 per customer provided by the Fonds de Garantie des Dépôts et des Résolutions.
Do you have any questions about the Sumeria current account ?
The annual rate of 4% is applied to the total balance held across all of the client’s Sumeria accounts (current account, joint account, and envelopes), up to a maximum of €100,000**. The rate is applied for each day of the previous month, provided that the client reached the required minimum of 15 Sumeria card transactions during that month.
To benefit from a Sumeria interest-bearing current account, simply download the app from the Apple Store (iOS) or Play Store (Android) and install it on your smartphone. Then, launch the app and follow the guided steps.
You’ll first need to choose a method of identification: either biometric authentication — the quickest and easiest way to log in — or a 4-digit security code, which will be required before each Sumeria payment.
Finally, you’ll need to verify your identity (as required by law) to complete your registration. To do this, have a valid ID ready and be able to record a short video selfie for facial verification.
Once your identity has been verified, you can access your Sumeria account.
