Information relating to video selfies

The video selfie is an account authentication method implemented by Sumeria. To record a video selfie, customers must film themselves facing the camera and speak out loud, following the on-screen instructions.

Customers may be asked to take a video selfie in several cases:

• To get their identity verified;
• Account access without filling a password;
• Account access from a newly and insufficiently secured device.

Deadlines

Each video is checked by humans, again to maximise the level of security. It takes a little longer, but it's worth it. The validation time is generally between 3 and 5 minutes during working hours.

Confidentiality

Only a specialised team has access to and can check the videos. They are not used for any purpose other than those defined above.
