Lydia allows users to invest in more and more assets so that they can invest in what they believe in. This is why, with Lydia, it is possible to invest in ETFs that take into account the societal and environmental impacts of companies.

Simple means ETF

An ETF (Exchange Traded Fund) is an index fund that seeks to track as closely as possible the performance of a stock market index, both up and down. To learn more about it, Lydia dedicates a complete article to it.

Sustainable means ESG

ESG criteria (for Environmental, Social and Governance criteria) make it possible to assess the extent to which sustainable development and long-term issues are taken into account in the strategy of economic players (companies, local authorities, etc.).

These criteria can be, for example:

  • CO2 emissions, electricity consumption, waste recycling ;
  • The quality of social dialogue, employment of disabled people, employee training;
  • The transparency of executive compensation, the fight against corruption, the number of women on boards of directors.

They can be a way to categorize companies in relation to their impact on society and the environment. Thus, if they wish, investors can turn to companies that seek to have a positive impact on the world, whether from an ethical, environmental or societal point of view, rather than a company in the arms trade for example.

Start investing sustainably

Lydia simplifies access to this range of assets by offering the user a dedicated collection. To do so, the user simply goes to the trading tab and selects the collection in question ("Simple and Sustainable").

The user can also find these assets in the catalog by searching for "climate" or "esg".
