Sumeria referral program

Sumeria customers can refer and be referred via a link or a code that anchors their relationship. Over time, this relationship can bring them exclusive benefits.

Referral steps

  1. Referrals can be done by sharing a link or code from the app. They are accessible from the "Menu" or "Me" screens, depending on app version, and then "Referral" or by clicking here from a smartphone.
  2. By tapping the referrer's link, the recipient will be redirected to a page dedicated to referrals, where they will be able to enter their phone number. The recipient can also enter the code manually in the dedicated section from the "Referral" screen.
  3. Once the previous step complete, the recipient must validate the referral confirmation message on the app home screen.
The user must have the app installed on their phone and create a user account if they don't already have one, in order to confirm their referral.

Track and manage your referrals <-> Referred friend relationships

The Referral page of the app allows you to follow the progress of a sponsored friend, with the aim of supporting them if necessary.

While a customer can refer up to 10 times per day, a customer can only be referred by one other customer. Moreover, a customer who has already been referred cannot be referred again.

Rewards

From March 27, 2025 to April 15, 2025:

The rewards are granted to the referrer if their referee completes the following actions before April 15, 2025:

Cumulative benefits:

  • €20 from the moment the referee has made 5 Sumeria card payments (of minimum €5 each) at 5 different stores.
  • €30 from the moment the referee subscribes to the annual offer of Sumeria+, the black card or both.
  • 50% of the "Remunerated current account" bonus referees receive, for 2 years following the creation of the Referrer <-> Referee relationship.

Referees receive no rewards for this.

Customers can refer up to 10 referees per time period (date specified in the app). Above said limit, referrals will be counted but will no longer yield rewards.
Referrals before March 27, 2025:

For referrals completed before March 27, or for referrals whose commercial actions are made by a partner of Lydia Solutions, referrers and referees receive their rewards if the latter completed the required actions in the time limit.

Cumulative benefits:

  • €10 each from the moment the referee has made 5 Sumeria card payments (of minimum €5 each) at 5 different stores.
  • €20 or €30, each
    • If the referee chose the annual version of Sumeria+, each will receive €20 (the benefit linked to the Sumeria+ assisted savings offer doesn't concern customers under 25 who benefit from another discount for this version).
    • If the referee chose the monthly or annual offer for the black card or for the combined Sumeria+ and black card offer, each will get €30.
  • 50% of the "Remunerated current account" bonus referees receive, for 2 years following the creation of the Referrer <-> Referee relationship.
For referrals completed before March 27, 2025, referees have 90 days to complete one or several of these actions after filling in their phone number in the dedicated page (and also to create their account if the referee is a new customer), or, as soon as the referral code was manually entered in the app.

Eligibility

To enjoy the benefits linked to the card, referees must never have made more than 2 card payments since creating their account, and none in the 2 months before their referral.

To enjoy the benefits linked to the offer, referees must never have subscribed to a paying offer and none in the 3 months before their referral.

US Person customers cannot be eligible to referral offers, meaning they cannot earn referral rewards either.

Both the referrer and the referee must have a phone number eligible for sponsorship: +33 (Metropolitan France), +262 (Reunion Island), +590 (Guadeloupe), +594 (French Guiana), +596 (Martinique).
A good knowledge of the Sumeria application is recommended before promoting it to friends to maximize the chances of converting referees. Identity verification is thus necessary.

Referral reward payouts

The reward for the 5 card payments is credited 7 days after the last eligible payment.

For eligible offers, the reward is credited up to 2 weeks after the offer was subscribed to.

As for the reward on the current account interest the referee is earning, the referrer starts accumulating the equivalent of half of the referee's current account interest 1 month after the referee earned their first referral reward. The referrer earns the reward in the following month.

Example: if the referee receives their first reward (e.g., €10) on January 15, the referrer will start accumulating their own reward in February, which will be credited in March.

To receive rewards, referees are required to have accepted the referral terms on the app home screen in the first 7 days after registering their phone number in the dedicated page or in the "Referral" screen after entering the code manually.
