How secure is Samsung Pay?

Secure

When the customer adds a card to Samsung Pay, he is already authenticated. He doesn’t need to enter the sixteen-digit card number and the security code in Samsung Pay.

A transaction on Samsung Pay is authenticated and secured by the phone holder's fingerprint / facial recognition or using a security code. Payment information is encrypted.

Confidential

Banking details are not stored on your device and not shared with Samsung even at checkout.

Only an encrypted digital card ID, calculated from the card, is stored in Samsung Pay. Every time the customer pays, this digital identifier is transmitted instead of the card numbers.

For the ultimate experience, we display in Samsung Pay the data of the last transactions made with the card via Samsung Pay.

By default, the customer also receives a notification from Samsung Pay every time he pays. He can disable the notifications and only let us inform him about a payment.
